La Biblioteca Pública del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea Mexicanos was founded on June 12, 1999, in a beautiful building constructed in 1821 and previously used as a foundry, a spiritual retreat center, an arsenal, a convent, a home for soldiers, a prison, and military offices.
