Dear REFORMA Members,

This is to inform you that the final version of the Principles for the Networked World (dated February, 2003) is available on the ALA website.  It is listed as one of the publications of the Washington Office. REFORMA's work on this document made a difference since we insisted on adding the seventh principle, "Information Literacy," which had not appeared in the original version.  The task force that worked on this document included the following people: Allison Kaplan, Pat Tarin, Romelia Salinas, Esther Grassian, Elizabeth Martinez, and Susan Miller.  As co-chairs, Richard Chabran and I thank them for their dedication to this task.

We would also like to thank those others who gave feedback on the document, resulting in important text related to the importance of having instruction in information literacy available in the language of the user.  They included Isabel Espinal and Roxana Benavides.
