The North Oak Cliff Branch of the Dallas Public Library had a very successful Dia de los niños/Dia de los libros on April 30. More than 100 people (among them Councilmember Dra. Elba Garcia and State Representative Rafael Anchia) attnded. Manzanilla Flamenca did a great performance of Spanish dances, Mr. Ray Macias of a local radio station read a story, children’s librarian Tom Greer had children working on crafts, and about 90 children of all ages walked away with a new book!

Kudos to Tom Greer (children’s librarian at North Oak Cliff) for putting together such a nice program!

Note: This program was co-sponsored by REFORMA-Río Trinidad Chapter.
