Who is paying attention to Latinos?  For a little background, here are two articles from the Huffington Post(1) (2)

Each month we will be featuring advertisers who have realized the importance of Latino/Hispanic marketing. Antonio Banderas continues to charm as the bee in the Nasonex commercials. Sofia Vergara is all over the map, advertising for Cover Girl, Pepsi, and K-Mart.

Among insurance companies, only Farmers has any Latino in their ads.  Al Madrigal is in two different Farmers ads.  Progressive and Nationwide seem to think that their insurance is only for whites, African Americans and Asians.

Huggies Potty Dance features beautiful children from many ethnic groups, including Latinos.  Ancestry.com used to showcase only white people, and what I think of as the random Black person, looking for their ancestors.  They have a new ad featuring a bald Latino guy who discovers (ironically) that most of his ancestors were barbers.

Jennifer Lopez did a recent series of ads for Fiat. Eva Longoria has recently appeared in ads for L’OréalTaco Cabana has done a series of ads with Latina Anjelah Johnson, who worries that her Tia Mary will be watching when she admits that she returned her Christmas gift of pots and pans so she could spend more money at Taco Cabana.  She also refers to a margarita as the “Gulp of Mexico”.

Finally, I leave you the latest Got Milk video by Salma Hayek.  Until next month please feel free to comment about this and other articles.
