ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY OPENINGS – POST STAFF and PUBLIC REGULAR STAFF – PROGRAMMING LIBRARIAN – HEADQUARTERS Programming Librarian - Grade 16GA Fulltime 37.5 hours/weekly Salary Range: $41,281 - $64,375 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association-accredited program and a combination of experience and training that has provided the knowledge, abilities, and skills listed in the attached job description. In addition to the Master’s Degree, experience in public libraries and supervisory experience preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinating system-wide programming and outreach to the public of all ages; training staff; overseeing Summer Reading program; and committee activities or projects. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Ability to secure certification as a Professional Public Librarian in the State of Maryland within 120 days following appointment; ability to meet re-certification requirements by completing 90 hours of training every 5 years.
