Visiting Mortenson Center Instructional Technology Specialist

Position Available:
Position available immediately. This is a visiting, 100%-time, twelve-month appointment Academic Professional position funded by grant funds and available for two years with a possible extension.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks an innovative, collaborative, and service-oriented professional for the position of Visiting Mortenson Center Instructional Technology Specialist. Creativity, risk-taking, and a desire to explore the intersection of new technologies and online training are essential for this position. This position is a key contributor to a grant that seeks to develop a multimedia library leadership training package for librarians worldwide. This is a two-year grant with the possible extension. The Visiting Instructional Technology Specialist investigates the development of web design, applications, training, and related technology support that focus on the creation, storage, and use of media in a variety of training situations.

Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree; experience developing, producing and editing video, and other media; experience developing websites; experience providing group or one-on-one training; experience in instructional design and training programs; excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with a variety of staff and user groups; successful experience working in a collaborative environment; ability to travel internationally; willingness to commit to the entire grant period.
