POST STAFF AND PUBLIC PART-TIME HOURLY WORK OPPORTUNITY PART-TIME HOURLY MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT $16.17/hr. to start If County funding is allocated each fiscal year, there are three additional step increases as follows: step increase to $17.06 at end of first year; step increase to $17.96 at end of second year; step increase to $18.40 at the end of third year 18 hours/week – Schedule flexible within Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. RESPONSIBILITIES: This is varied technical work supporting the Marketing and Communications Manager in carrying out the library’s public relations and marketing programs. Responsibilities include writing, editing, assisting with design, layout and printing of promotional materials including posters, fliers, and other printed matter, and media relations. Work also involves creating content for social media as well as contacting sources both inside and outside the Library for information, maintaining mailing lists, and other clerical support functions. REQUIRED: Associates Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field with two years professional experience in the field of marketing, public relations, journalism or related fields; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that has provided the knowledge, abilities, and skills listed in the job description. Knowledge of Desktop Publishing software, MAC preferred.
