BROWARD COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LIBRARIES DIVISION LIBRARIAN FULL TIME/PART TIME 20/PART TIME 19 Salary Range - $43,666.00 - $69,691.00 per year (dependent upon qualifications) Broward County, Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Librarian Classifications: Librarian Full Time, Librarian Part Time 20, and Librarian Part Time 19. Additional vacancies may be filled from this recruitment. This position may be assigned to any location within the Libraries Division based on operational needs. The purpose of this position is to plan, supervise and coordinate the activities of a service section. This includes supervising staff, project or program coordination cultivating outreach efforts, and supporting division-wide initiatives. This position is also responsible for collection development, youth and adult reference services, programs and readers advisory. Requirements: Requires a Master's degree from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association in Library Science, Library and Information Science, or closely related field. Preferences: • Certificates in Community Information Management; ALA Leadership; Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute; or Post Master Certificates in Librarian-ship. • Master's degree or higher in Education or related field that is separate but relevant from the Minimum Qualifications. • Experience in Conflict Resolution, Project Management, and Grants Writing. • Desire to work with children and to plan and conduct children's programming.
