Sunnyvale Public Library is currently recruiting for experienced hourly catalogers!

We are looking for a cataloger with these qualities:

· Professional cataloging experience in a public library.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Accuracy & speed in cataloging.
· Familiarity with the Sierra ILS, LC Subject Headings, MARC, the Dewey Decimal System, the latest Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, RDA and OCLC manuals in cataloging and classifying library materials.
· Multi-lingual skills in both reading and writing across a variety of languages are desired.

What are the minimum qualifications and skills?

· Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited program.
· Professional public library cataloging experience.
· Knowledge of and experience with the Dewey Decimal System, LC Subject Headings, and MARC.

What happens next?

·Applications will be screened and those with the most relevant experience will be interviewed.
