Santa Clara University seeks a creative, forward-thinking and dynamic Head of Instruction and Assessment to lead our team of instruction librarians and library-wide assessment efforts. The Head of Instruction and Assessment is responsible for developing, enhancing, and implementing the Library’s assessment program and library instruction services for the University community. This position will lead us in envisioning goals and setting priorities for the library’s instruction and assessment programs, as well as providing direct instruction and liaison support for assigned subject areas. This includes working closely with the Associate University Librarian for Learning and Engagement, the Head of Research and Outreach, and the Information Literacy Coordinator to integrate information literacy throughout the curriculum and to support instruction librarians in continuing to develop their instruction skills and pedagogical approaches. The Head of Instruction and Assessment reports to the Associate University Librarian for Learning and Engagement and serves on the Library Management Council. The position is available starting June 1, 2018.
