The University of Texas Libraries (UTL) is seeking a Liaison Librarian for Social Sciences to join our STEM & Social Sciences Engagement Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for envisioning, designing, implementing, assessing, and reporting on services and initiatives to support scholars and students in Social Work, Kinesiology & Health Education, Special Education, Educational Psychology, or other social science departments as assigned. They are expected to function with a high degree of independence as well as work collaboratively with the team to advance the impact of librarianship on our campus and to contribute to the mission of both UTL and the University of Texas.   

UTL aims to be a pre-eminent and active partner within the rich education and research ecosystem at UT through expansive collections and digital content, and with innovative services, programs, tools, and partnerships. The Research Support and Digital Initiatives department is comprised of the STEM & Social Sciences Team, Arts, Humanities & Global Studies Team and domain experts who collaborate with UTL colleagues and other campus partners to grow, enhance, and manage a suite of tools and services that support the research lifecycle, promote digital scholarship and digital collections, and advance new and emerging modes of scholarship. We also work with students, faculty, staff, and UTL colleagues to advance their research, scholarship, and teaching, through a combination of resources, education, outreach, and personal consultation.
