University Staff Description CU Boulder Libraries welcomes applications for an Outreach and Student Success Coordinator to promote and provide outreach for the services, collections, and spaces centered in the William M. White Business Library with a focus on strengthening student success. This role develops and implements an outreach plan that aligns with the University Libraries’ Communication Plan for strategically allocating time and resources, along with evaluation methodology to measure its effectiveness, and to inform continuous improvement and increased awareness and use of library spaces, collections and services. This position will cultivate relationships within the University Libraries, Leeds School of Business, and campus-wide, with the goal of creating engaging collaborations and increasing visibility of the Business Library. In addition, this position works as a member of the Business Library instruction team, providing instruction sessions and research consultations. Who we are: The William M. White Business Library, one of the five branches of the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries, provides services to students, staff, and faculty, more specifically to those in the Leeds School of Business. These services include research assistance, instruction sessions, events and workshops, study spaces, access to our physical and digital collection, business-specific research guides and databases, a variety of technologies and more. We aim to foster inclusive and diverse intellectual communities, and encourage active dialogue and feedback to enhance the overall experience for our patrons. What your key responsibilities will be: Outreach, Engagement, & Projects Create a cohesive, user-focused outreach program for the Business Library. Promote library services and collections that further the teaching and learning initiatives at the Business Library, through library and campus marketing avenues, as well as virtual and physical displays. Market the Business Library across the campus, taking care to reach a diverse group of users. Conduct independent collection and analysis of user feedback and synthesize information about our spaces, services, and outreach to directly inform evidence-based decision processes. Create reports of results and implement improvements to these areas. Collaborate on special projects with the Social Sciences department and with the Business Library team to measure the impact of the library on student learning, including focus on the use of space. Operations Support Serve as backup in absence of the Branch Manager and of the Collections Specialist. Maintain library website and physical signage, including hours, notices, and stacks signage. Work collaboratively with the Business Library faculty and staff on maintaining the daily operations of the branch, including on-call hours. Research Assistance & Instruction Provide reference services to patrons of the Libraries to meet their needs. Serve as a member of the Business Library instruction team. What we can offer: The annual salary range for this position starts at $44,000. Qualifications What we require: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution 1 year of experience or education relevant to the work assignment, either in promotion/marketing, space and services assessment/design, or teaching What you will need: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a customer service focus Excellent planning and organizational skills Facility with technology Excellent written and verbal communication skills What we’d like you to have: Experience using Business research resources such as Mintel, IBISWorld, and Mergent. Relevant experience in libraries and/or Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science Evidence of innovative, user-focused promotion and marketing Experience with using Adobe Creative Suite, Drupal, and/or other software related to design of web pages and/or marketing materials. Preferred qualifications may be used to further reduce the pool of applicants to those who are most highly qualified.
