Library Information Associate (5 positions) for the Access & Information Services Team (AIST)
The University of Arizona, University Libraries, Tucson We need highly qualified applicants with broad knowledge and skills to work at public service sites and facilitate customer access to the collections of the University of Arizona Libraries. * Do you have well documented experience assisting customers with basic research needs including interviewing customers, locating library resources, materials and services, providing information and reference? * Can you provide proactive leadership in solving sometimes complex problems and making non-routine decisions using sound judgment? * Are you proficient at managing student employees including scheduling, training, daily direction and performance management? Are you familiar with wage budgets, approving timesheets, and skilled in ensuring work is completed to meet team quality standards? * Are you skillful at supporting software, computers/laptops and troubleshooting other equipment? Would you be great at coordinating equipment lending? * Do you have expertise in project management, interlibrary loan processes, or cash/credit card handling? * Can you demonstrate an established ability to monitor the safety and security of library facilities and customers? Can you manage and cope with sometimes difficult situations which might involve criminal activity, emergency situations and building problems? Job #51369 (2 positions) During Fall and Spring Semesters: Position #1: Tu-Th 10 am - 7 pm; Fr 9:45 am - 6:15 pm; Sa 8:45 am - 6:15 pm. Position #2: Tu-Sa 9 am - 6 pm. Note: Both positions act as back-up, working until 9:15 pm as needed, to close the libraries on Friday and Saturday evenings. As needed for absences such as team vacancies, sick and vacation coverage, staff is required to assist with filling in for evening, late night, early morning, and weekend shifts. During semester breaks and Summer Sessions, shifts change based on the hours the library is open. Job# 51363 (2 positions) Position #3 & 4: Spring/Fall: Sun-Thursday 3pm-12am Winter session: Sun-Thursday 10:15am - 7:15pm Presession: Sun-Thursday 12:15pm - 9:15pm Summer: Sun-Thursday 2:15pm - 11:15pm Intersession: Sun-Thursday 10:15am - 7:15pm As needed for absences such as team vacancies, sick and vacation coverage, staff is required to assist with filling in for evening, late night, early morning, and weekend shifts.
