PART-TIME HOURLY WORK OPPORTUNITY

     PART-TIME HOURLY PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSISTANT

     $14.94/hr. to start     Step increase to $15.76 at end of first year; step increase to $16.59 at end of second year; step increase to $17.00 at the end of third year

     18 hours/week – Schedule flexible within Monday – Friday daytimes
between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

     Assists Public Relations/Marketing Manager – writing, editing, layout & design, etc.
o     This is varied technical work supporting the Public Relations/Marketing Manager in carrying out the library’s public relations and marketing programs. Responsibilities include assistance with design, layout and printing of promotional materials including posters, fliers, and other printed matter, and media relations. Work also involves contacting sources both inside and outside the Library for information, maintaining mailing lists, and other clerical support functions.

     REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field preferred. Some PR/Marketing or related experience required. Experience with photography and video editing a plus.

     Knowledge of Desktop Publishing software required, MAC preferred.
