The San Rafael Public Library is looking for an energetic, collaborative, and inventive person to lead our Pickleweed Branch library as a Supervising Librarian. This small branch library, which opened in 2006, serves San Rafael’s Canal neighborhood. Here’s what you need to know: - We need someone who is bilingual (English/Spanish) - We need someone who has experience in and truly values outreach to diverse communities - We would prefer a candidate with management experience…. - However, if you are bilingual, have experience working with diverse communities, and have initiative and a willingness to learn we welcome your application as well! - The San Rafael Public Library is committed to quality service, innovation, and community engagement - The Supervising Librarian is the primary librarian in charge of the Pickleweed Branch. Responsibilities include community outreach, collection development, and public service librarianship for all ages. - Supervising Librarians participate as members of the Library’s Supervisory Team.
