On Saturday, December 8th, the members of the Los Angeles, Orange County, and LIBROS (San Diego) chapters of REFORMA gathered at the Oceanside Public Library for the 2nd Annual Southern California Chapters meeting.  Last year, this event was hosted by Orange County at the Orange Public Library, but this year, as will be the ongoing tradition, a different chapter took on the planning.

LIBROS Chapter's continued work on their second annual Creando Enlaces international conference

Those in attendance participated in an introduction and each chapter shared what they are currently working on and what the past year has been like for them.  Some highlights from the President reports include the LIBROS chapter’s continued work on their second annual Creando Enlaces international conference, the OC chapter’s planning on their upcoming conference focusing on Latino engagement through history, and the Los Angeles chapter’s commitment to their scholarships.

This meeting of the minds is a great opportunity to keep in touch with REFORMistas who we wish we could see more often as well as meet new colleagues who share our passion for the library field.  It reminds everyone that no matter how near or far, it is beautiful to stop and take the time to get together as one big, happy familia

Happy Holidays from the SoCal Chapters of REFORMA (Los Angeles, OC, LIBROS)!!
