Janet Wright is a British journalist who writes about health topics.  She consulted many specialists for this book about maximizing energy for a healthier lifestyle.

Wright regards the body and mind as one entity and developed a variety of exercises based on ancient techniques (yoga, shiatsu, chi gung, etc).  In only 5 minutes a day, these exercises promise to boost the power and energy that is often diminished by busy lives and hectic schedules. The book’s chapters cover the best exercises according to the time of the day, places to exercise (park, kitchen, workplace, etc.), modifications for specific situations or special needs and practicing with a partner. Wright also includes routines that take longer than 5 minutes (from one-half to an hour) by combining different exercises.

This book is an easy read thanks to a very neat translation. It includes an interesting introduction explaining what energy is and why it is so often blocked in the body, as well as a brief explanation of all the techniques used. Each exercise comes with helpful illustrations.
