Madeline De La Peña Feliz
Nominee Vice President/President Elect
Statement of Purpose
What an honor to be nominated to run for the position of REFORMA Vice-President/President-Elect. REFORMA is a wonderful organization that has given so much to the library profession, to its members, and to the communities their members serve. I have been extremely fortunate to have fellow Reformistas mentor and inspire me throughout my career. I would love to have the opportunity to give back to REFORMA and help carry out its mission and goals.
If elected, I would focus on increasing communications through a newsletter, improved listserv and enhanced website. I would work hard to increase membership, find ways to generate more income, revive enthusiasm in committee work, and communicate to the world the value of REFORMA as the leading organization for library service to the Latino and Spanish speaking. Now more than ever, we need to work together to provide resources, guidance and support to our communities, and to further the mission of our REFORMA. I look forward to working with all of you!
