The REFORMA Colorado Annual Conference is a day full of practical, useful information that will help you serve Latinos and Spanish-speakers in your library. Some of the topics presented that day will include: "Discovering the “Best & Brightest” Juvenile Spanish Books at DPL"; "Using Cultural Intelligence: Successfully Manage Increasingly Diverse Interactions with Spanish-Speaking Cultures"; "Using Language to Build Community Belonging"; "Advocating for Hispano-American books that do not reach the shelves: Representation of Hispano-American presses"; "Changing Your Library Path: Lessons learned from transitioning from a public to academic library," among others.
REFORMA is pleased to announce that we will have two Keynote Speakers this year. During the morning session, the author of Sabrina & Corina, Kali Fajardo-Anstine, will accompany us, followed by Dr. Camila Alire and Luis Herrera in the afternoon, presenting on "The Color of Leadership: Reflections of Two Nationally-Recognized Latino Library Leaders."
