REFORMA National, in collaboration with MiJa Books, will be hosting Maritete R. Bellas author of the bilingual children’s book, I have a secret/Tengo un secreto. During this event, Mari will talk about the importance of storytelling through a conversation with Jessica Agudelo, current co-chair of CAYASC and Youth Collections Coordinator for BookOps for the New York Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library.

We will also have a brief presentation from Children in Crisis and they will speak on the support they have been providing to children detained at the border.

Mari is an international award-winning bilingual, bicultural Latina author, parenting topic expert, speaker, podcast host and parenting influencer who enjoys writing and is passionate about family, languages, and cultures. You can read more about her on her website.

This webinar is an excellent opportunity for participants to learn about Maritete's new book, have an opportunity to hear her new book and ask the author questions. If you are a teach, you can take this opportunity to stream the event for your classroom.

All proceeds for this event will go to REFORMA National's Children in Crisis Task Force. You can learn more about the work that the Children in Crisis Task Force does here and if you would like to donate to contribute to their efforts please click  here.
