REFORMA National, in partnership with Simon & Schuster, will be hosting Emma Otheguy as we celebrate Emma's newest book, Martina Has Too Many Tías. During this event, Emma will talk about the importance of storytelling through a conversation with Jessica Agudelo, current co-chair of CAYASC and Youth Collections Coordinator for BookOps for the New York Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library. We will also have a brief presentation from Children in Crisis and they will speak on the support they have been providing to children detained at the border.
Emma Otheguy is the author of several books for children, including the picture books A Sled for Gabo and Martina Has Too Many Tías, the bilingual picture book Martí’s Song for Freedom, and the middle-grade novels Sofía Acosta Makes a Scene and Silver Meadows Summer. Visit her at
