Position Available: This is a 100%-time, twelve-month, Academic appointment

Duties and Responsibilities:
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks applicants for a High Density Storage Facility Coordinator. The incumbent will perform a wide range of duties relating to the operation of the Library’s high density storage facility, the Oak Street Library Facility (OSLF), including communication, coordination, supervision, and setting policy and workflow. The High Density Storage Facility Coordinator reports to the Head, Collection Management Services, and works in a team environment with those faculty and staff responsible for the management of ongoing library-wide collection transfers, projects and services. A particular emphasis will be placed on coordinating staffing, services and workflows between the Oak Street Library/Collection Management Services, Content Access Management, Preservation Services, Central Access Services, and departmental units. The incumbent will need to work collaboratively with other Library stakeholders in facilitating Library participation in new consortial collections initiatives. The Coordinator will oversee the ongoing daily operations of high density storage, executing collection and service goals and objectives, and organizing staff and resources to ensure ongoing safe, effective management of the facility.

Qualifications: Required: ALA accredited master’s degree in library or information science or related field; Strong written and oral communication skills; Two or more years supervisory experience; Demonstrated ability to meet production deadlines and goals; Ability to lift a 30 pound box to a height of 5 feet; Willingness to obtain and maintain certification in industrial lift operation to a height of 40 feet; Demonstrated experience in large-scale collection management or inventory control.
