ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY invites applications for the position of Human Resources Specialist I. AACPL’s 16 branches serve 573,000+ residents, with an annual circulation of over 5.2 million items. For more information about our services, visit our website at http://www.aacpl.net.

     CAREER STAFF – Human Resources Specialist I – HR, Headquarters
     Grade 14GA – 37.5 hours/week – 1 Opening
     Salary Range - Fulltime $43,010 - $70,906
Excellent benefits package includes eligibility to earn up to 4 weeks of annual leave, starting with first year of employment.

     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration or closely related field with two years’ experience in human resource processes; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that has provided the knowledge, abilities, and skills listed in the job description.

     RESPONSIBILITIES: This is varied, professional work in the Human Resources Department. Work involves coordinating and administering the following functions: benefits (leave, health and pension), recruitment and hiring, performance evaluations, salary adjustments, personnel actions, staff development and training programs, and maintaining human resource records in the HR/Payroll integrated system.

     The Library reserves the right to not fill a position if there is not a qualified candidate.
