The University of Alabama School of Library & Information Studies is seeking to fill two full-time, tenure-track positions in the fields of Information Technology and Digital Media Management, to begin August 16, 2019.

Applicants should have teaching and research interests as they relate to the field of Library and Information Studies. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to shape the character and direction of the School as it continues to integrate the traditions of information science, librarianship, and archives, in the context of new and emerging technologies. These positions will support multiple teaching, research, and service opportunities at SLIS, in our College of Communication and Information Science, and at the University of Alabama. These opportunities include education at doctoral, masters, and undergraduate levels and extensive outreach project possibilities that include under-served and marginalized communities. Participation in interdisciplinary scholarship and community engagement initiatives are strongly encouraged.
