Head of Access, Delivery & Resource Sharing Services

NYU’s Division of Libraries seeks an innovative and service-oriented Head of Access & Delivery Services to provide strategic leadership for user services that support access to collections and services for teaching, learning, and research. As a member of the leadership team in the Collections & Content Strategy Department, the Head of Access & Delivery Services develops and designs efficient services responsive to user needs and grounded in a holistic approach to collection development and access services. This position works closely with teams across the Division to promote user awareness and adoption of new and legacy services. The Head of Access & Delivery Services directly oversees circulation, course reserves, resource sharing, study space management, and visitor access. This position provides critical leadership, advocacy, and expertise for access and delivery service providers at all NYU Libraries, Institutes, and Consortium partners, and leads the development of consistent policies and user-centered services across NYU Libraries locations. The Head of Access Services & Delivery Services directs, mentors, and leads the development and management of a diverse and talented staff that includes three direct reports, 18 staff members, and a large team of student assistants. The Head of Access and Delivery Services cultivates a workplace and service ethos of equity, belonging, and accessibility. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Collections & Content Strategy, the Head of Access & Delivery Services will work closely with collection development, instruction, library systems, user experience, subject specialists and liaisons, and other campus stakeholders to develop services responsive to the needs of users and sustainable for library staff. This position will promote NYU Libraries perspectives and innovation in various resource sharing and access services communities including Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortia (PALCI), Eastern Academic Alliance (EAST), OCLC Shares, and others.
