The University of Nevada, Reno Libraries are recruiting an innovative, experienced and collaborative librarian to join its leadership team. The Associate Dean of Libraries and Teaching & Learning Technologies will work closely with the Dean and directors to achieve the overall vision, mission and strategic priorities of the University Libraries and Teaching & Learning Technologies. The incumbent will have a primary responsibility for the teaching, learning and research-related departments and services of the Libraries supervising faculty and staff across a range of departments and services, including the DeLaMare Science and Engineering Library, Research and Instructional Services, Access Services, scholarly communications, collection development and assessment activities. This is a tenure-track faculty position that requires scholarly activity and service on library, university, and professional committees.

The University Libraries is made up of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center, which provides high-tech computing, research, and presentation spaces, inviting study areas, as well as media production facilities including A/R and V/R services; and the DeLaMare Science and Engineering Library, a dynamic and technology-rich environment that provides innovative, user-centered services, and active learning spaces. The University Libraries also encompasses Teaching & Learning Technologies, a campus unit that oversees instructional design, WebCampus (Canvas), and instructional and classroom technology services.In addition, through collaboration with the Savitt Medical Library serves the UNR Medical School as well as Nursing and Community Health Sciences.
