Berkeley Public Library in Berkeley, California is seeking exceptional applicants for the role of
Librarian I. The Librarian I is an entry level position responsible for public services, including program planning and delivery, outreach, collection management, and community engagement. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies in this classification.
The Library has all the following specialty areas in our branches and Central Library: Adult, Children's, Collection Services, and Teens.
The Library is currently recruiting for
a part-time 20-hour-a-week Librarian I position in our Adult Services department in the Central Library.

Applicants must have an equivalent to graduation from a college or university with a Master's degree in Library Science. Progressively responsible related experience may be substituted for the college coursework on a year-for-year basis. Proficiency in languages in addition to English is highly desirable.
