Coordinator of Teaching and Learning/Assistant Professor of Library Science
The Christopher Center Library and Valparaiso University are searching for a Coordinator of Teaching and Learning/Assistant Professor of Library Science. Reporting to the Dean of the Library, the person in this role will coordinate the Library’s Information Literacy program
(https://libguides.valpo.edu/information literacy), which is infused within the curriculum and aligned with the University Writing Program. In a team-based context, they will serve as one of the subject librarians for the sciences and health sciences, teaching in those disciplines as well as selecting and managing collection resources. As a tenure-track faculty librarian, they will benefit from immediate opportunities in scholarly and professional development, faculty governance of the library, library policy creation, and service on library and campus committees and task forces.
