Development Associate: Data and Donor Relation
NATURE OF WORK:
Evanston Public Library aims to be the heart of our diverse community by promoting the development of independent, self-confident and literate citizens, and providing equitable access to
cultural, intellectual, technological, and informational resources. This part-time (25-29 hours per week) position reports to the Development Manager and provides support to a growing
development team. The Data and Donor Relations Associate is responsible for general administrative support duties in the following areas:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administers and maintains the Raiser’s Edge CRM, including emphasis on gift entry and stewardship, mailing list production, and overall management of data entry for consistency and quality.
Works with appropriate staff members to ensure up-to-date information is added to Raiser’s Edge and gift reporting is accurate.
Supports Grant Manager with tracking and maintaining grant data in Raiser’s Edge
Receives and maintains accurate documentation of all individual donations and grant payments made to the Library.
Works together with the Development Manager and the Finance department to reconcile financial records between the Development and Finance departments.
Supports overall donor communication including solicitation messaging, gift acknowledgment and reporting.
Works with Library staff to identify and craft case statements for philanthropic support of Library priorities and maintains general case templates available for ongoing gift development work.
Provides support to other volunteer committees such as the Evanston Public Library Friends including reports, prospect tracking, correspondence and general stewardship requests.
Oversees student interns, including training and task assignment as necessary.
Supports occasional donor and volunteer events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
