Essential Functions
Reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Information Sciences (SIS), serving as an advisor to SIS students, and providing service to SIS, the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor will perform research and teach in areas related to one or more of the School’s degrees and certificates: Master of Library and Information Science, Master of Science in Information Management, Graduate Certificate In Archival Administration, Graduate Certificate in Information Management, Graduate Certificate in Public Library Services to Children and Youth, and School Library Media Specialist Endorsement. It is expected that the new faculty member would teach specialized courses and at least one core course from the School’s course catalog. The new faculty member is expected to have experience in delivering dynamic online teaching, as the School's curriculum is primarily delivered asynchronously in the online environment.
In addition to the degrees and certificates listed above, SIS offers several joint degrees, a robust practicum program, a portfolio assessment model for students, and a number of active student/professional groups. The School currently has approximately 450 enrolled students.
