Outreach Services Assistant
The Montrose Regional Library District is seeking an energetic Outreach Services Assistant to highlight our unique resources and bring them to the community. This is a full-time position.
We value candidates who have a positive and outgoing attitude. You must be able to interact with patrons offsite at various types of locations; have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a variety of outreach vehicles, including a 32-foot bookmobile; possess strong communication and organizational skills; and are comfortable with people of all ages and from all backgrounds. An ideal candidate will be able to work with large and small groups; possess strong Spanish-language abilities and the ability to confidently navigate Latine cultural spaces (nearly a third of our population are native Spanish speakers); be able to work evenings and weekends; and have the ability to perform more physically intensive duties, which can include lifting and pushing heavy materials, bending and kneeling, and being mobile for much of the day. The starting rate for an Outreach Services Assistant is $16.25 per hour; we will provide an increase for proficiency in Spanish. We offer benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance; retirement; and vacation, personal, and sick leave, in addition to holidays.
