E-Resources Access Librarian


Electronic Resources Access

  • Manages access to the Library’s licensed and open access e-resources in the Library’s knowledge base/link resolver (Serials Solutions) and discovery system (Summon)

  • Plays a key role in the e-resources workflow, to ensure that e-resources access is consistent with the Library’s subscriptions including new subscriptions, cancellations, platform changes, etc.

  • Works closely with database vendors and publishers to provide excellent access to Auraria Library’s e-resources

  • Administers the Library’s Ezproxy instance to enable authentication for off-campus access

  • Troubleshoots e-resources access problems for internal and external users, and communicates wide-spread access issues to the Library

  • Member of the Troubleshooting Team, a cross-departmental team dedicated to identifying and removing obstacles to accessing the Library’s electronic content

  • Investigates, develops, and implements workflows and processes to improve e-resources access and keeps up-to-date documentation of the process and procedures that are part of the e-resources workflow

  • Member of CU Libraries Access and Discovery Team (CLAD), a CU System-wide team that discusses discovery and access of shared e-resources collections

  • Works with the Access and Public Services Department on access issues regarding user categories (i.e. alumni, dual enrollment students, affiliated scholars)

User Experience

  • Strives to  provide uninterrupted access to e-resources for students, faculty, and staff.

  • Works towards enhancing accessibility and usability of platforms where users discover and access Library resources

  • Serves as a permanent member of the tri-institutional Accessibility Committee

Leadership and Service

  • Participates on Library and campus-wide committees and CU Denver faculty governance.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent form an ALA-accredited library school/program

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years’ experience managing library resources within integrated library systems, discovery systems, and/or knowledge base/link resolver software
