Position Summary

Do you thrive on a variety of challenges and like to learn new things? Would you like to engage with a wide-range of libraries and other cultural organizations? Do you have a graduate degree in library science from an ALA-accredited institution? This could be the job for you!

We hope that you will have experience or coursework in at least one of the areas listed on the job description, but it would be very rare indeed to have experience or coursework in all of them! It would also be useful if you've worked in (any capacity) or interned in multiple libraries or types of libraries, though it is not a requirement.

Diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and antiracism work is very important to us and part of the responsibilities of the Outreach Services Librarian, so we are looking for someone who values this work and will engage in it with our staff and members. The ability to work with diverse communities and populations is essential.

Here is a link to our Diversity Statement and associated documents.

Travel around the region is required, but remote work is also tenable some of the time.

The salary range is $52,500-$58,000. The work week is 35 hours. The benefits are excellent and include 21 vacation days, 3 personal leave days, 12 sick days, and TIAA retirement. Health insurance is also available.
