Librarian – Bilingual (Spanish/English) -Adult and Teen Services
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $27.00 per hour
The Fox River Valley Public Library District is seeking a community-driven and dynamic librarian who is passionate about working with adults and teens to take library services to the next level. FRVPLD serves an active and engaged community, is fine free and focused on equity, diversity and inclusion.
The Adult and Teen Services Librarian is responsible for developing and managing library collections, coordinating outreach activities with community partners, and planning and presenting library programs for adult and teens. If you are great at multitasking, embracing change, and an out-of-the-box thinker, we’d love to hear from you.
The successful applicant is:
- A resourceful thinker, creative, and familiar with library trends as it relates to adult services
- Able to work in a changing work environment
- Knowledgeable of emerging technologies and trends
- Comfortable with the technologies necessary to help patrons navigate the library environment in person, by phone and online
- Fluent in both reading and writing in Spanish
Educational requirement: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school
