Lauren Skinner is the Communications Director for the Los Angeles Public Library, which serves more than four million people—the largest and most diverse urban population of any library in the United States. In this role, Lauren helps manage the Public Relations and Marketing Office, overseeing a $2 million budget and staff of 10. Lauren is a people person, a devoted lover of words, and a do-gooder at heart. So, this is basically her dream job. Always an avid library user, Lauren loves getting to share the message that the library's programs and services can help people reach any goal they set. Outside of work, Lauren has been married to her college sweetheart for 15 years, and they live in Arcadia, CA with their three sweet and spunky children. Lauren is a diehard Dodger fan, a committed bargain shopper, and the proudest (and loudest) mom at every one of her children’s baseball and basketball games and ballet performances.

Hana Zittel
is the Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator at the Denver Public Library. She and her team are working to create a cohesive, community-based plan for outreach in the Denver area. She has been working towards expanding the Denver Public Library's role in promoting successful reentry for the formerly incarcerated in Colorado, and expanding the library's connections with arts and cultural institutions around the city.

Madeline Peña is the Digital Content Manager at the Los Angeles Public Library. She comes from a background in graphic design, marketing, and TV production and has worked in public libraries for 10 years. An active member of REFORMA, The National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-Speaking, she is currently serving as President and was the recipient of the 2015 REFORMA Dr. Arnulfo D. Trejo Librarian of the Year (LOTY) Award.
